AVT ISDN codecs and telephone hybrids

Together with our friends from Mikafon, Studio Istanbul is now the official partner and distributor of AVT (Audio Video Technologies) audio products. We are mainly responsible for the planing, system integration and support of these ISDN and telephone hybrid products.

AVT's audio products are among the most used ISDN and IFB telephone hybrid products in and from Germany and always stand for highest audio quality and reliability.

ISDN and Audio over Ethernet Upgrade

We updated our ISDN hardware, which is now again compatible with most international radio stations and broadcasters. We are proud to offer you broadcast quality 15kHz live talks over ISDN and Internet from our studio.

We support G.722 and MPEG Layer 2 in mono and stereo. Our machine is an AVT Magic XIP RM. Read on for more detailed technical details.

Akai Synthstation 49

Already released but still worth mentioning is Akai's Synthstation 49, which is a synth controller especially designed for the iPad. Featuring a four octave keyset, nine mpc style drum pads, transport controls and support for CoreMIDI apps.

The Synthstation has a USB for receiving power and controlling MIDI software on your Mac or PC. You also get two professional 1/4" stereo outputs with volume control to connect mixers, speakers and recording equipment. Street price is 199,- $.

TASCAM iM2

TASCAM, inventor of the Portastudio, the first cassette-based multi track home studio recorders, just introduced the iM2. The iM2 is a pair of condenser microphones, which can directly be connected to an iPod Touch 4G, iPhone 4/4S and  iPad 1/2.

The iM2 can handle up to 125dB sound levels and records at 44.1kHz on 16 bit linear PCM. Street Price is 89,- EUR.

Studio Istanbul Upgrades

We proudly announce our recent developments to our post production facilities. We are now editing with the newest Avid Media Composer 5.5, supported by the HD compatible Mojo DX hardware. This gives us the opportunity to do our job faster and smoother.

Contrary to our experience with Media Composer 5, we really love the user experience of this new version. Our view from the office remains unchanged.

CeBIT Bilişim Eurasia

The CeBIT Bilişim Eurasia 2010 fair, the biggest business development and technology platform of the Eurasiafair, opened up on October 6th and will continue until October 10th.

You can get a daily ticket for 20 TL. There is a shuttle service from Avcilar, which brings you directly to the venue. Expact companies like Grass Valley, Dedolight, ARRI, Kino Flow, NewTek, JVC, Sony, Roland, Blackmagic and others showcasing their newest products. ZOOM H4N

The Zoom H4N in an portable audio recorder with an onboard stereo mic in X/Y postion setup (adjustable from 90-120 degress), which records up to 24bit and 96khz PCM WAV / BWF.
