Erkin Koray, in the Turkish rock music scene since the late 1950s, is widely acclaimed as being the first person to ever play rock and roll in Turkey. In 1957, he and his band gained fame by playing covers of Elvis Presley and Fats Domino.

He was also one of the first Turkish musicians to embrace the electric guitar and modern amplification. In the late 1990s, a flowering of interest in psychedelic music made outside of the UK and the US brought Koray to the attention of listeners in the West.

Last weekend we supported the BBA Team with our mobile editing services in Van. EU Commissioner Kristalina Georgieva and Turkish EU Minister Egemen Bağış were scheduled to visit the victims of last years earthquakes in 2011.

Unfortunately the visit was canceled due to bad weather conditions. According to Hürriyet Daily News the European Union wishes to work closer with Turkey in humanitarian aid cooperations across the world.

Tom Vek is a young british self taught musician, who combines electronic music with indie rock. His debut album, "We Have Sound", was released in the U.K. in spring 2005, after Tom Vek took his tome to work on his second album "Leizure Seizure", which was released in June 2011.
